Gulf Calibration & Safety Services is a calibration, inspection and safety-training company based in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Our website provides free interactive calculators used in industrial-safety training. The data controller for personal information processed on this website is:

2. What information we collect
The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. Inputs you type, JSON files you import and reports you export are not transmitted to us and never leave your device unless you choose to download them.
We collect only:
- Anonymous usage statistics — page views, country, device type, referring page. Collected via Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymisation) only after you accept analytics cookies.
- Local browser storage — your cookie-banner choice and any tool inputs you choose to save are stored in your browser's localStorage. They never reach our servers.
- Voluntary contact information — if you e-mail or message us, we keep that correspondence to reply.
3. GDPR & your rights (EEA / UK)
Although GCS Oman operates from the Sultanate of Oman, we apply the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR for visitors from those regions:
- Right of access — request a copy of any personal data we hold.
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — request deletion of personal data we hold (right to be forgotten).

- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — anonymous traffic measurement. Google Privacy Policy.
- jsDelivr / Cloudflare CDN — open-source JavaScript libraries (jsPDF, Chart.js) loaded from public CDNs.
- Hosting provider — keeps server access logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) for security for up to 30 days.
6. Data retention
We retain analytics data for up to 14 months, then delete or aggregate it. Locally-stored content in your browser stays under your control and can be wiped at any time via your browser's "clear site data" feature.
7. International transfers
Where third-party services (e.g., Google) transfer data outside Oman, they rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
8. Children
This site is intended for safety professionals and trainees aged 16+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS. Calculators run client-side — your inputs are not sent to our servers. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any personal data you do send us.
